Wholly and Totally Committed

As a Discipleship Training organization our goal is to inspire people to find positive solutions to their overwhelming problems and circumstances as we pattern a life of Christ before them. We also make ourselves available to people who are in crisis to share the hope found only in a relationship with our Heavenly Father. As a Community Outreach organization we collaborate with other organizations, businesses and the local government to provide services to the community. We believe to have a positive impact on a person’s life we must be ready and able to touch the various areas of his life. We minister to the whole person, and that includes his basic and spiritual needs, and the needs of the family as a whole.

From 2004 to April 2008 Wholly Committed Ministries touched the lives of over 1500 people! Through our community outreach, workshops, support groups, Bible studies, and benevolence outreach activities, we have provided financial, emotional, and spiritual support to many.

The children we serve have parents that are incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, struggling with addictions, or pressed to keep from becoming homeless. Some of the families are homeless. We serve children who are involved in gangs, and/or get expelled and sent to an alternative school at least once during the school year. We have teenage girls that stay out all night, and teenagers, as young as 13, on probation.

  • In 2006 and 2007 we served 92 children during our Back to School Outreach. We supply new clothes shoes, and school supplies. For 2008 we expect to serve over 100 children. (September 2007 Newsletter)
  • In 2006 and 2007 we participated in Hope Fest with over 50 other organizations and government agencies that provided information and services to a community of low income and migrant families.
  • We mail out monthly newsletters to over 100 inmates and their families.
  • Provided financial assistance to single mothers, needy families, and people being released from jail.
  • We are there to help parents with their youth involved in the justice system as well as adult offenders.
  • Offer a weekly youth life skills training workshop at the local library.
  • Conduct and collaborate with other organizations to provide employment, parenting, healthy relationships, and budgeting workshops, and other valuable resources.
  • We visit jails, in homes, schools, and rehab facilities.
  • Take youth on field trips and outings and provide events for the whole family.
  • Celebrated Christmas with families living in boarding homes.
  • Offer Bible Study to willing hearts.
  • Have support groups, provide opportunities for the people we serve to serve others, use the arts to teach, and to help people discover their talents, and we connect people to needed resources.

The highlight of our ministry is seeing people work together to accomplish great things. We are honored to receive, on a monthly basis, a donation from a kind ninety-nine year old Christian man.

It is the generous donations from people like him that make it possible for us to witness restored family relationships.

Mothers, after being incarcerated, are now living successful drug free lives. Formerly incarcerated men and women are now gainfully employed. And as they experience one success after another, they know that we will continue to be there to encourage them. We also continue to work with people whose life conditions require long term support. They too, know that we will continue to be there to encourage them for as long as we are welcome. The passion and dedication we have to reaching out to these individuals, and families is what has made it possible for us to see the positive effect we have in many of the homes in our community. Our ministry is made up of foot soldiers, going into neighborhoods making a difference one person and one family at a time. To God, we give the glory!
